The ML Script : Week - 7

Hello World!

Last week, after a bit of self-realisation, I decided to improve my communication skills. The problem is… I honestly have no good idea how to actually get better at speaking. But I figured one thing — I can start by recording myself explaining concepts or talking about my AI/ML journey.

So I recorded my first video.

And… it was horrible.

I never thought I was this bad at speaking English. My dictionary apparently only contains words like "and","because","therefore","so" and a few other buzzwords. I really need to take this seriously if I want to keep my hopes of getting placed alive. At this point AI probably communicates its “feelings” better than I do :) :)

Humans are dumb sometimes.

Anyways, apart from this little reality check, I am also trying to figure out what to do next in AI/ML. So far I’ve touched the concepts of Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, KNN, SVM, Decision Trees, and Naive Bayes. But I’m confused about the depth I should go into. Am I just supposed to know what they are, or should I really dive deeper into how they work? And should I move forward to new topics, or spend more time mastering these first?

For now I’m just thinking about it while working on the Ames housing dataset. I’m trying to deploy the project as well. So yeah, everything is still in the planning stage — things are just getting started.

At the same time, my In-Semester Exam 1 is going on (7–12 March), so things are a bit busy. I can’t completely blow the exams, so I have to prepare for them at least a little.

But honestly, learning how to deploy projects feels much better than studying exam theory. That stuff just drains me. AI/ML also drains me sometimes, but if I have to get my ass kicked by something, I’d much rather choose this path.

Anyways… see ya.
